Black walnut gets its name from its very dark bark. It can reach a height of 35 to 40 meters. It’s a powerful tree with a broad, arched crown, with equally strong branches that spread out widely. It produces quality timber and edible nuts. Black walnut trees appreciate rich and moist soil.
