It is based on the natural growth rate of a tree, which is estimated at around 2% per year. This expected gain is referred to as “gross" because it is calculated on the basis of the price of the tree excluding VAT.

### Hungarian oak
A symbol of lasting strength and deep roots, the Hungarian Oak is a strong species that asserts itself with elegance across forest landscapes. It is a gift that stands the test of time - ideal to mark a birth or any family milestone you hope will grow and flourish through the generations.
Its acorns provide an abundant food source for wildlife in autumn, and its dense canopy offers refuge and nesting sites for many bird species. Its tolerance for heat and poor soils also makes it a precious tree for forests, adapting to a changing climate.
The Hungarian Oak (Quercus frainetto) is a deciduous tree native to the Balkans and south-eastern Europe, recognisable by its large, deeply lobed leaves - among the most ornamental in the Quercus genus. Robust and long-lived, it can reach several tens of metres in height and live for several centuries.

### About Confolens forest
### About Confolens forest
We are planting a mixed forest that will be managed according to the principles of irregular high forest on these former agricultural plots that could not find a buyer.
Located in the north, equidistant from Limoges and Angoulême, the small town of Confolens is situated in the heart of a region with a long history of agriculture. A land of vineyards and pastures, Charente produces the grapes used to make cognac, but remains less forested than the neighbouring Dordogne department. It is therefore appropriate to plant a new forest here, which will allow a rich ecosystem to develop.
On these former agricultural plots of some 6 hectares, there are hedges that we will preserve, as well as the habitat trees that have their place in a mixed forest.
