This forest is located in the communes of Montplonne and Stainville in the Meuse department (55). This is in the natural region of the Barrois plateaux.

The property is made up of 3 areas that are easily accessible via communal roads. The forest is planted with more than ten different species. Sanitary cuts were carried out by the former owner to combat the spread of bark beetles. The repeated droughts and mild winters of recent years have contributed to the proliferation of these insects.
