### Larch
A symbol of lightness, renewal, and courage in the face of adversity, the Larch is the only European conifer to shed its needles in winter, revealing a graceful silhouette that turns gold each autumn. It is an original and poetic gift to celebrate a beautiful transformation, or to accompany someone reinventing themselves.
Its young spring shoots are a precious food source for many insects, and its cones feed species such as the common crossbill. Its ability to colonise high-altitude areas makes it a key player in mountain biodiversity, stabilising slopes and creating habitats for specialised species.
The Larch (Larix) is a deciduous needle tree growing mainly at altitude in the Alps, the Carpathians, and other European and Asian mountain ranges. Its dense, naturally water-resistant wood is one of the most durable in existence, used for centuries in the construction of alpine chalets and boats.

### About Lacelle forest
The Lacelle forest is located in Corrèze (19) on the Limousin granite plateaus (Plateau des Millevaches) and is divided into three parts. An plot of 18 ha of meadows leased to a local farmer, a second plot of around 20 ha that was clear-cut back in 2013 and which has not been reconstituted, and a third plot of approximately 30 ha of tree stands. The Pradel stream runs through the plots. The tree stands will be managed as an irregular high forest, as will the clear-cut plot, on which reforestation is planned. Due to the clear-cutting carried out by the previous owner, which has not been reconstituted, it will take many years to recover a forest like this one but it has good potential for biodiversity. Our ambition is to manage this complex forest according to the principles of mixed forestry with a continuous cover, adopting Nature-based Solutions to restore and enhance biodiversity, while ensuring sustainable management of forest resources.
