But what is this label all about?

To receive the “Solar Impulse Efficient Solution” Label, our solution was thoroughly assessed by independent experts. According to five criteria covering the three main topics of Feasibility, Environmental and Profitability. All labelled solutions are part of the 1000 solutions portfolio. The aim of this initiative is to encourage the adoption of more ambitious environmental targets and fast-track the implementation of these solutions on a large scale.

Following the success of the first solar flight around the world, Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation launched the second phase of their action: selecting 1000solutions that can protect the environment. These solutions received the recognition following an assessment performed by external independent experts and based on verified standards for economic profitability and ecological sustainability.
