### Wild cherry
**A symbol of renewal and generosity**, the Wild Cherry is one of the first trees to bloom in spring, covering forests in white flowers before any leaf appears. It is a signal of life returning. It is **the perfect gift to celebrate a marriage**, the arrival of spring, or any joyful new beginning.
It's thousands of wild cherries each summer feed more than 40 bird species — blackbirds, thrushes, robins — as well as many small mammals. Its nectar-rich blossoms, appearing from late winter, are a vital resource for bees and pollinators emerging after the cold months.
The Wild Cherry (*Prunus avium*) belongs to the rose family and originates from the region of the Caspian Sea. It is the only tree in its family to spread naturally in forests, producing sweet cherries that can be eaten fresh or made into jams and brandies.

### About the La Salle Forest
The La Salle forest is nestled in Northeastern France in the Vosges.
It is divided into several parcels, including a cutting area for replanting and charming deciduous groves. The forest is also crossed by a hiking trail. A small stream winds through the forest, creating a habitat rich in biodiversity. You'll also find the remains of an old forge.
