### Douglas fir
A symbol of height, ambition, and surpassing limits, the Douglas Fir is the tree of those who think big and dare to aim higher. It is **an inspiring gift to mark a graduation, a new role, or any project that is taking off fast**.
Its dense branches offer prime shelter for many nesting bird species, and its leaf litter enriches the forest floor with organic matter, feeding a rich and varied soil fauna. In mixed forests, it plays an essential structural role for the entire ecosystem.
The Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is a conifer native to the Pacific coast of North America, where it can exceed 100 metres in its natural habitat. Introduced to Europe in the 19th century, it is today one of the most widely cultivated species in forestry for the quality and durability of its timber.

### About the La Salle Forest
The La Salle forest is nestled in Northeastern France in the Vosges.
It is divided into several parcels, including a cutting area for replanting and charming deciduous groves. The forest is also crossed by a hiking trail. A small stream winds through the forest, creating a habitat rich in biodiversity. You'll also find the remains of an old forge.
