### Large-leaved Linden
A symbol of gentleness, kindness, and quiet generosity, the Large-leaved Linden is the tree of village squares and shaded meeting places, the one beneath which people gather, and conversations linger. It is a warm-hearted gift to celebrate a birth, a lasting friendship, or settling into a new home.
Its summer flowers are among the most nectar-rich of any tree, drawing dozens of bee and bumblebee species into a generous, buzzing cloud. Its dense foliage provides shelter and food for many insects and birds, and its nectar is a vital resource for pollinators at the height of summer.
The Large-leaved Linden (Tilia platyphyllos) is a large deciduous tree native to central and southern Europe, recognisable by its broad, slightly downy leaves. Its dried flowers have been used for centuries in herbal teas for their soothing properties, and its soft wood is highly prized in sculpture and instrument-making.

### About Montplonne Forest
### About Montplonne Forest
Between the communes of Montplonne and Stainville, the Montplonne Forest is located. The property is made up of 3 forest clusters comprising more than ten different species of trees. These include [whitebeams](/en/species/31), [Austrian black pines](/en/species/29) and Norway maples.
We acquired this large forest in the autumn of 2022 with the aim of bringing it to its full potential by adapting our management to its natural characteristics. Sanitary cuts were carried out there by the previous owner to combat the spread of bark beetles due to repeated droughts and mild winters in recent years.
