### Turkish Fir
A symbol of rarity and quiet exoticism, Turkish Fir is a little-known species that enriches the diversity of any forest where it is planted. It is an original gift for a lover of rare trees, or to mark an occasion that is truly out of the ordinary and deserves to be celebrated differently.
Its evergreen foliage provides precious winter shelter for many bird species, and its cones supply seeds and food for forest wildlife throughout the year. Its presence contributes to the diversification of forest stands, thereby strengthening the overall resilience of the ecosystem in the face of a changing climate.
Turkish Fir (Abies bornmuelleriana) is a large conifer native to northern Turkey and the Black Sea region, a close relative of the Nordmann Fir. Well adapted to fresh soils and exposed slopes, it is progressively being introduced in Europe to enrich coniferous forests and bring precious genetic diversity.

### About Pleyben forest
In Brittany, between the Monts d’Arrée and the Black Mountains (Montagnes Noires), lies the Pleyben forest. From the forest, you can catch a glimpse of the Mont Saint-Michel, the highest point in Brittany (385 m).
The forest is made up of more than ten different species, including Vancouver fir, sycamore maple, wild cherry, Sitka spruce, chestnut, Douglas fir and red oak. There is also a wealth of biodiversity, with a river and two ponds below the plot.
