### Norway Maple
A symbol of generosity and brilliance, the Norway Maple is a majestic tree whose foliage transforms into a blaze of yellows and oranges in autumn. It is a luminous gift for an autumn birthday, a harvest celebration, or any occasion that deserves to be marked with colour and warmth.
Its yellow-green flowers, which appear in early spring before the leaves, are a highly valued nectar source for the first bees of the season. Its dense shade also provides a summer refuge for many insect and bird species, and its samaras (seeds) feed seed-eating birds in autumn.
The Norway Maple (Acer platanoides) is a deciduous tree native to central and eastern Europe, recognisable by its large, five-lobed, pointed leaves. Very hardy and adaptable, it is widely planted in parks, avenues, and forests across Europe.

### About Pleyben forest
In Brittany, between the Monts d’Arrée and the Black Mountains (Montagnes Noires), lies the Pleyben forest. From the forest, you can catch a glimpse of the Mont Saint-Michel, the highest point in Brittany (385 m).
The forest is made up of more than ten different species, including Vancouver fir, sycamore maple, wild cherry, Sitka spruce, chestnut, Douglas fir and red oak. There is also a wealth of biodiversity, with a river and two ponds below the plot.
