### Scots Pine
**A symbol of freedom, longevity, and Nordic elegance**, the Scots Pine is the tree of the great boreal forests, unmistakable for its glowing trunk silhouetted majestically against the winter sky. It is **a gift full of character for someone who loves wild northern landscapes**, or to mark an anniversary with something timeless.
Its cones feed crossbills, and many other bird species, and its scaly bark provides precious shelter for saproxylic insects and bats. Its filtered canopy lets in enough light to maintain a rich understorey vegetation, supporting remarkable biodiversity.
The Scots Pine (*Pinus sylvestris*) is the most widespread conifer in the world, from the Scottish coast to Siberia. Recognisable by its orange-reddish bark in its upper section, it can live up to 700 years and is one of the most important species in European forestry.

### About Launay Guen Forest
The Launay Guen forest is located in the Côtes-d’Armor in Brittany, France. This region is characterised by a cool climate with abundant rainfall (over 1000 mm/year), often misty and windy.
Situated on a south-east facing slope, the woods stretch across from a soft hill, and it borders the pond of Launay’s castle.
With a total area of 121 hectares, it’s divided into 11 forestry sites of varied sizes and types. We acquired it in 2021 from a private owner.
