Together we walked every plot of the forest to see how the trees planted in spring 2024 and May 2026 are getting on. For the area planted in spring 2024, keeping the weeds under control has been a challenge on this plot, but the trees are thriving all the same. The small pond in the middle of the area was looking a little dry on the day of our visit. The newest plantation from Spring 2026 is off to a strong start. Even the beech, which our forester thought might struggle, has already grown tall and sturdy. Overall, our forester was very pleased with how both plantations are developing. It’s wonderful to see the trees growing well and the forest beginning to take shape. Forest](/en/forest/96) This summer's rainfall has been below average, and it shows. Our pond has visibly shrunk between early and late summer. The good news: we are confident that it will return to normal after rainfall. And going forward, the trees we've newly planted around the pond will provide shade as they grow, helping it retain water for longer, even in drier stretches.
