Why do we celebrate the forest in March?

Why do we celebrate the forest in March?

Every March 21 since 2013, we've celebrated the International Day of Forests . This initiative was established on November 28, 2012 by the United Nations General Assembly.

International Day of Forest aims to raise public awareness of the forest and, more generally, of climate change. In this important month dedicated to the forest, we want to highlight the importance of the forest to our planet, our wildlife and our well-being.
