In 2022 we cleared the entire area for competing vegetation, applied Trico to the trees and replanted in areas, where the young trees had not survived. Mulching was put down in 2023. [ See more trees ](https://ecotree.green/en/companies/treeshop) ### EcoTree’s actions for biodiversity ### EcoTree’s actions for biodiversity On this plot, we have planted 800 meters of honey hedges to provide food resources to the pollinators. We also restored a wetland area to improve its ecological value. We carried out the work of reopening the area, creating 5 pools and sprigging areas in November 2023. In this area, multiple species, such as the Quimper snail, are proven to have high conservation value and conservation potential. The common European adder has a very high conservation value, whilst the Viviparous lizard, European bullfinch, Willow warbler, Western barbastelle, and Bechstein's bat have high conservation values. About 14 species have low conservation value. Following the work carried out in autumn 2023, we have begun species monitoring using various indicators for amphibians, chiropterans, avifauna, odonates, plants and lepidopteran rhopalocerans (Day Butterflies). We have also recieved the ‘Wildlife Territory’-label for this area.
